Many US universities/ colleges require students to sit either the ACT or SAT.

Many universities/ colleges are test optional at this time and may remain so in the future.  Good test scores can add value to your application.

 

The ACT® contains multiple-choice tests in four areas: English, mathematics, reading and science. ACT's writing test is optional and will not affect your composite score.

 

SAT contains multiple-choice tests in Critical Reading, Writing and Math. 

SAT are introducing a DIGITAL SAT for non-US students from March 2023

 

Each university/ college publishes the required scores expected of students

 

It is essential to prepare thoroughly for these tests as they are unlike most of the tests/ assessments that are familiar to international students.
